Students work together on a project to learn

preparing students for the challenges of tomorrow

Few factors are more important to the future success of communities than preparing the population to meet the challenges of tomorrow. We cultivate partnerships with local government and nonprofit organizations to improve educational outcomes in the subjects of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Through a longstanding partnership with the Davis Education Foundation, we have helped fund environmental science grants, teacher recognition awards and Project Lead the Way programs at 22 elementary schools in the Davis School District.

Chevron also partners with the Governor’s Office of Energy Development on the Utah Energy Workforce Scholarship. Since 2016, more than $130,000 in scholarships have been awarded to Utah students.

In 2020, Chevron supported a new program with DonorsChoose.org to provide students with resources that promote racial equity and increase STEM opportunities for Black, Latinx, and Indigenous Americans. Chevron recognizes that education plays a critical role in combating racial inequity and injustice in the United States.
